Senior Recruiter & Team Lead
During the first few months in the company, new recruits areoften confined to their department while they assimilate their newtasks and get their bearings. As a result, familiarization with thegeneral functioning of the company and with the entire group istypically slower.
When they join the group, new recruits—particularlyin the logistics teams—do not start immediately in their department. They first follow a one-week integration program including theoreticaltraining to handle certain tools (Office suite, Excel, etc.) and explorethe company culture. They’re also given a tour of the site where theywork and are introduced to each of the jobs they do. During thisintegration week, they are asked to perform tasks related to differentpositions (unpacking orders, composing orders, etc.).
Internal studies have observed that new recruitshave a better overall understanding of the challenges of their positioncompared to the rest of the company and, ultimately, a bettercommitment to the company. The result: better integration, greaterproductivity, and a reduced turnover rate.
